IP Analysis
Designed for continous real time analysis of an input bitstream,
the IP
Analysis begins with a dialog allowing you to configure its
monitoring parameters. At a minimum you should specify the port,
transport stream bitrate and at least one PID to monitor.
Currently, you can only monitor two PIDs. If you leave one of the
PID fields empty only one PID will be monitored.
- If data is fed to the analyzer too quickly, it will quit.
The TCP receiver allocates a 1 MB buffer to hold data pending
analyzing. If this buffer fills up, the analysis will quit.
- The program expects to find the PAT and (relevant) PMTs in the
first couple of packets. It also expects the first video packet
to
begin with a sequence header and the first audio packet to start with a
sync word. In otherwords, the analysis is meant to be started at
the beginning of the bitstream. It won't work if you start at
some random location (unless, of course, you write a special wrapper to
position the bitstream accordingly before handing it off to VK-TAFE,
and hey, if you do that, why don't you send it to me).
